Overview

The Annapurna Base Camp Trek is one of Nepal's most rewarding classic treks, offering close-up Himalayan views without the extreme demands of higher-altitude expeditions. The journey begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara, where views of Machhapuchhre (6,993 m) and Annapurna (8,091 m) are already visible before the trek even starts.

From there, the trail winds through forested hills, traditional villages, and the Annapurna Conservation Area, passing Ghorepani and the sunrise viewpoint at Poon Hill before entering the Annapurna Sanctuary. Along the way, trekkers pass Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Hiunchuli, and Gangapurna, staying in comfortable teahouses and lodges rather than camping. The trek is well suited to trekkers with moderate fitness, walking 5–6 hours a day, and can also be adjusted into shorter 5- or 7-day versions.

Gopaleshwor Tour and Travel manages transportation, permits, accommodation, and experienced local guides throughout, so the journey stays smooth from Kathmandu to Base Camp and back.
