Day 1: Arrive in Paro, Transfer to Thimphu — 55 km, approx. 1.5 hrs

Full day visiting Thimphu's cultural landmarks, including Trashichhoedzong fortress, the National Library of Bhutan, and Buddha Dordenma (Buddha Point), a giant statue overlooking the valley. Browse the local crafts bazaar for Bhutanese textiles, thangka paintings, and handicrafts.

Day 3: Thimphu to Punakha via Dochula Pass
Drive to Punakha, crossing Dochula Pass (3,080 m), lined with 108 stupas and, on clear days, sweeping Himalayan views. Continue on to Punakha and check in to your hotel.

Visit Punakha Dzong, set at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers and considered Bhutan's most beautiful fortress. Continue to Chimi Lhakhang, the Temple of Fertility, and Khamsum Yuelley Namgyal Chorten, a hilltop stupa with panoramic valley views.
