Just north of Kathmandu, the Langtang Valley offers one of Nepal's most accessible high-mountain treks, following the Langtang Khola through forests of oak and rhododendron into a dramatic glacial valley ringed by peaks over 6,000 meters. Because it starts closer to Kathmandu than the Everest or Annapurna regions, it's an excellent choice for trekkers with limited time.
The trail passes through Tamang villages and the Langtang National Park, home to red pandas and snow leopards, before reaching Kyanjin Gompa, a small Buddhist monastery village surrounded by glaciers, where trekkers can hike further up to Tserko Ri or the Langtang Glacier viewpoint for extraordinary panoramas.
Our Langtang Valley trek packages typically run 7 to 10 days, with comfortable teahouse stays and guides deeply familiar with the region's Tamang culture and trails.
